Admissions 2020

The school has offered 180 places for entry in Year 7 in September 2020. If your child has been offered a place, please ensure you return the acceptance form by Monday 16 March 2020, along with proof of address as detailed on the form.

If you have applied and your child has not been offered a place, please ensure you return your Waiting List Form by 5pm on Friday 13 March 2020.

If you want to make a late application, you can do so using the methods below:

Written applications for SST should be sent to: The Admissions Officer, SST, c/o Valley Park School, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 5DT

Alternatively, the electronic version of the form can be returned, via email, to: admissions@sstmaidstone.viat.org.uk                                  

Appeal Information 

DEPARTMENT FOR EDUCATION UPDATE - 1 April 2020

We received information from the Department for Education, on 1 April 2020, confirming that due to the current situation with Covid-19, it will not be possible to go ahead with admission appeal panels as originally planned.  The Department for Education has reassured us that they are working urgently on emergency regulations and guidance to establish alternative arrangements which are suitable, but also flexible, and that they will update us as soon as possible. 

As a Trust, we are looking at extending current timescales and will update you as soon as we are in a position to confirm the revised arrangements.

If your child is due to start secondary school in September 2020 you can appeal between 2nd March - 27 March 2020 to guarantee that your appeal will be heard by 15 June 2020.   

For applications made in the normal admission round, appeals must be heard within 40 school days of the deadline for lodging appeals.  For late applications, appeals should be heard within 40 schools days from the deadline for lodging appeals where possible, or within 30 schools days of the appeals being lodged.
