The A-Level Spanish course is designed to develop advanced proficiency in the Spanish language through the exploration of contemporary and culturally significant topics. Students will strengthen their communication, analysis, and critical thinking skills in spoken and written Spanish, building on GCSE foundations to prepare for higher education, employment, and international opportunities.

- My Personal World (Mi mundo personal): Covers vocabulary and grammatical structures for discussing self, family, and personal interests.
- Lifestyle and Wellbeing (Estilo de vida y bienestar): Focuses on daily routines, health, hobbies, and lifestyle choices.
- My Neighborhood (Mi barrio): Deals with describing local surroundings, issues, and community life.
- Media and Technology (Medios y tecnología): Teaches vocabulary and grammar for modern media and communications.
- Studying and My Future (Estudios y mi futuro): Explores subjects studied, career ambitions, and future plans.
- Travel and Tourism (Viajes y turismo): Prepares for real-life travel situations and cultural experiences in Hispanic contexts.
Entry Requirements
Grade 6 or above in GCSE Spanish.

Assessment Structure
- Paper 1: Listening, Reading, and Writing
- Multiple-choice, short-answer, and extended-response tasks.
- Paper 2: Writing
- Two essays: one on the set text, one on the set film or additional literary work.
- Paper 3: Speaking
- Discussion of one sub-theme (card stimulus);
- Presentation and conversation based on independent research.
