During half term, Ruben in 7E attended a workshop at the Royal Institution  in the L'Oréal Young Scientist Centre. Students extracted their own DNA which was separated with enzymes and then sealed into a vial for them to take home!

Throwback to last year's Ballroom Showcase which saw students from Ballroom Club showcase skills and techniques to their friends and family! If you're interested in dance, Ballroom Club runs every Wednesday after school and welcomes all students regardless of dancing skill!

Our students in Drawing Club have been producing some amazing work recently! Held each Monday lunchtime with Miss Lovell, students are encouraged to experiment with both digital and traditional drawing. Drawings from Suvan in 10V, Leonor in 7T, Olivia in 7E, and Violet in 7E👏👏

Jake in 10V spent a day at  last Saturday, where he had the amazing opportunity to go out on the track with a race team!🚦🏎 This was only his second time out with them, but nevertheless, Jake made some great progress and received lots of positive feedback!

Open Evening 2025

On Thursday, 25 September, we were proud to host our most popular Open Evening to date, welcoming over 2,000 guests to SST. Prospective students and their families had the opportunity to tour our facilities, speak with staff and students, and experience the unique atmosphere of our school community. Throughout the evening, our Headteacher, Mr Royston, and Executive Headteacher, Mrs Beales, delivered talks in the Main Hall, joined by two of our Year 7 students, Sonny and Sienna, who spoke confidently about their transition to SST and what they value most about being part of our community. Each talk was opened beautifully by our school choir. We would like to say a huge thank you to all of our students who represented SST with such pride, maturity and enthusiasm during subject demonstrations and student-led tours. We look forward to welcoming many of our visitors back for our upcoming Open Mornings in the weeks ahead.
