During half term, Ruben in 7E attended a workshop at the Royal Institution  in the L'Oréal Young Scientist Centre. Students extracted their own DNA which was separated with enzymes and then sealed into a vial for them to take home!

Throwback to last year's Ballroom Showcase which saw students from Ballroom Club showcase skills and techniques to their friends and family! If you're interested in dance, Ballroom Club runs every Wednesday after school and welcomes all students regardless of dancing skill!

Our students in Drawing Club have been producing some amazing work recently! Held each Monday lunchtime with Miss Lovell, students are encouraged to experiment with both digital and traditional drawing. Drawings from Suvan in 10V, Leonor in 7T, Olivia in 7E, and Violet in 7E👏👏

Jake in 10V spent a day at  last Saturday, where he had the amazing opportunity to go out on the track with a race team!🚦🏎 This was only his second time out with them, but nevertheless, Jake made some great progress and received lots of positive feedback!

The VIAT Sports Awards

The VIAT Sports Awards Evening 2025 was a fantastic celebration of sporting excellence, teamwork, and dedication across all four schools — Invicta Grammar, Valley Park, SST and The Lenham School. Students, staff, and families came together to recognise outstanding achievements in school sport and beyond, with awards presented to those who have shown exceptional performance, commitment, and leadership throughout the year. We were also treated to inspiring speeches from Tilly (SST) and Amelia (IGS), two students who shared personal reflections on how sport and PE have positively impacted their confidence, wellbeing, and sense of belonging. A powerful reminder of why physical education plays such a vital role across our Trust. We were delighted to welcome our guest speaker, Jack Green, Olympic athlete and mental health advocate, who shared his inspiring journey and insights into resilience, motivation, and the power of sport to shape lives. The evening concluded with the presentation of our first-ever Trust Sports Awards, recognising individuals and teams who exemplify the shared values and sporting spirit of the Valley Invicta Academies Trust. A huge congratulations to all the winners and thank you to everyone who made the evening such a success. We are already looking forward to the VIAT Sports Awards 2026.
