Food Bank Non Uniform Day
On Wednesday, 19 November, we held our first non-uniform day of the academic year in support of Making a Difference to Maidstone (MADM), one of our local food banks that provides vital support to those in need.
Rather than asking for monetary donations, students were asked to bring in an item to donate and the response from our SST community was heartwarming. Many students brought in multiple items, with some arriving with entire shopping bags full of donations. Logan in 8H even preparing a beautifully presented hamper filled with food, toiletries, and essentials.
In total, we collected over 1,500 items, all of which will go directly to helping families and individuals in need this festive season.
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed and to our incredible Sixth Form team, who helped to organise and collect donations during form time.
It is on days like these that we are reminded just how special our community is, and why we are Proud to Be SST.
