2025-26 Head Student Team
Over the past term, our Sixth Form has been immersed in a vibrant and purposeful hustings process as we selected our inaugural Sixth Form Head Student Team. This marks an important milestone in shaping the culture, community and student voice of our new Sixth Form, and we are incredibly proud of the professionalism, maturity and creativity shown by all candidates.
Students taking part in the hustings completed a structured week-long campaign that mirrored real leadership selection. Candidates were asked to:
• Share a clear vision for the role
• Present a manifesto presentation during assembly
• Engage with students and staff to discuss their ideas
• Work collaboratively while also showing individual leadership
The week ended with a formal vote by students and staff, ensuring our Head Student Team truly reflects the voice and confidence of the school community.
Head Students
Following an exceptionally strong field of candidates, we are delighted to introduce the first Head Students of SST Maidstone’s Sixth Form:
Cole – Responsible for KS4/5 Student Experience
Cole will lead on enhancing the academic and wider school experience for students in Years 10 to 13, ensuring systems, support and opportunities meet the needs of our older students.
Nieve – Responsible for KS3 Student Experience
Nieve will champion the voice of students in Years 7 to 9, focusing on transition, belonging and helping younger students make the most of school life.

Deputy Head Students
Supporting the Head Students in delivering their vision are our two Deputy Head Students, each overseeing a specialist portfolio:
Bella – Deputy Head Student for Charity and Events
Bella will coordinate whole-school charity initiatives, lead on RAG Week and support the planning of key community events across the school year.
Blessing – Deputy Head Student for Community and Culture
Blessing will lead projects that build community cohesion, celebrate diversity and strengthen SST’s culture and identity.
This team will play a crucial role in shaping Sixth Form identity, developing student leadership across the school and ensuring that student voice remains at the heart of our decision-making. Their portfolios reflect the areas students told us matter most: community, opportunity, belonging and preparation for the future.

We congratulate Cole, Nieve, Bella and Blessing and look forward to working with them throughout the year as they bring their ideas, energy and passion into action.
