RAG Week 2025
In the lead up to the Christmas holidays, SST has hosted our first ever Raising and Giving (RAG) week. Through a combination of dress up days and lunchtime events, students and staff banded together to raise money for a collection of worthy causes. We raised an incredible £5300 over the week for our chosen charities, please see below some highlights from the week:
Friday, 12 December marked the first full dress up day of SST’s inaugural RAG Week, organised and led by our hardworking Sixth Form prefect team. The SST community embraced the theme, arriving in a variety of pyjamas and loungewear that brought a warm, relaxed and cheerful atmosphere to the school.
Later that day, we were delighted to host a festive Movie Night for our Year 7 and 8 students as part of our RAG Week celebrations. After voting for their film of choice, Home Alone emerged as the clear winner.

Day Three of SST’s RAG Week brought one of our most challenging and creative themes yet, Rhyme With No Reason. Students embraced the task brilliantly, arriving in pairs or individually with costumes linked only by a rhyme.

For SST’s fourth RAG Day, students had the opportunity to dress as celebrities, and once again we were blown away by the creativity across our community.

Our final RAG dress up day took place on Wednesday, 17 December, inspired by the iconic Mean Girls motto, “On Wednesdays we wear pink!” Students were invited to wear at least one pink item, and while a few opted for subtle touches like pink socks, the vast majority embraced the theme in full arriving to school dressed head-to-toe in pink!
