Year 8 Science Fair 2026
This term, our Year 8 students took part in an exciting and inspiring Science Fair, where curiosity, creativity, and determination were on full display. Each student was challenged to investigate a scientific question of their own choosing — and they truly rose to the occasion. From exploring how different conditions affect plant growth, to testing the absorbency of materials, to investigating reactions and forces, the variety of projects was incredible. It was clear that students had put a huge amount of thought into selecting questions that genuinely interested them, and this curiosity shone through in their work. What stood out most was the level of effort and dedication. Whether conducting hands-on experiments or carrying out in-depth research projects, students carefully planned their investigations, gathered and analysed data, and reflected thoughtfully on their findings. Many went above and beyond, creating detailed reports, graphs, and visual presentations, and explaining complex ideas with confidence!
Presentation day was a fantastic celebration of their hard work. Students confidently shared their findings with teachers and peers, answering questions and explaining their processes like true young scientists. The pride they took in their projects was evident, and it was wonderful to see them supporting and learning from each other. We are incredibly proud of all Year 8 students for the commitment, enthusiasm and resilience they showed throughout this project. Their ability to think scientifically, solve problems and communicate their ideas is something to celebrate. Well done, Year 8 — your effort and achievements have been outstanding!
