During half term, Ruben in 7E attended a workshop at the Royal Institution  in the L'Oréal Young Scientist Centre. Students extracted their own DNA which was separated with enzymes and then sealed into a vial for them to take home!

Throwback to last year's Ballroom Showcase which saw students from Ballroom Club showcase skills and techniques to their friends and family! If you're interested in dance, Ballroom Club runs every Wednesday after school and welcomes all students regardless of dancing skill!

Jake in 10V spent a day at  last Saturday, where he had the amazing opportunity to go out on the track with a race team!🚦🏎 This was only his second time out with them, but nevertheless, Jake made some great progress and received lots of positive feedback!

Wear a Hat Day

On Friday, 27 March, students and staff took part in Wear A Hat Day in support of Brain Tumour Research, a national fundraising and awareness event to support people affected by brain tumours. Brain tumours impact thousands of families across the UK, with one in three people knowing someone who has been affected. The condition can develop at any age and often without warning, highlighting the importance of continued research and funding. It was fantastic to see so many creative and unique hats across the school, with the SST Community coming together to raise awareness and support this important cause. We are proud to share that SST raised a total of £200 for Brain Tumour Research. Thank you to everyone who took part and made this annual event another success!
